Boil water order issued for parts of Orchard Park and Aurora

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — A boil water notice has been issued for parts of the towns of Orchard Park and Aurora due to a water main break that is currently being fixed in Elma.

The Erie County Water Authority (ECWA) issued the notice for the following parts of the towns (see the maps below for more details):

  • Town of Orchard Park:
  • Williardshire and Stonybrook Roads from the Elma town line to 190 Stonybrook Road
  • Town of Aurora:
  • The area between Bowen Road and the East Aurora town line.
  • The area between Girdle Road and Route 400.

The ECWA says that all side streets in these three areas also fall under the boil water notice.

Residents are advised to bring tap water to a boil before using it. That method should be used for making ice, brushing teeth, cooking, and drinking water. Bottled water is also an alternative to this method…
