The U.S. Space & Rocket Center is mourning the death of Ed Buckbee, the founding executive director credited with helping shape the Huntsville attraction and launching one of its most enduring programs.
The Rocket Center said Monday it was “saddened to learn of the passing of Ed Buckbee,” who led the organization for 23 years. During his tenure, the center said, Buckbee accomplished many things, “but perhaps none greater than opening Space Camp in 1982.”…
