CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV) — The Chatham County Police Department shared a warning on its social media Tuesday after a woman was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) on Monday after she drove down a fishing pier.
According to the social post, officers responded while on patrol to the Frank Downing Fishing Pier, located by the Diamond Causeway on the Moon River. The woman had driven her car down the end of the pier.
Two bystanders, who were reportedly fishing, were nearly hit but were uninjured.
The CCPD said on its social media, “This could have had tragic consequences. Please do not drive if you are impaired in any way.”…
