Mother, son sentenced for roles in Willoughby homicide

A mother and son have been sentenced for their roles in the death of 20-year-old Damonte Perry that occurred in September in Willoughby.

According to a Willoughby Police Department news release, a homicide investigation that occurred on Sept. 15 at the Fox Run Apartments resulted in six individuals being identified, taken into custody and ultimately charged in connection with the homicide.

On Feb. 23, 48-year-old Carla Farona pleaded guilty to third-degree felonious tampering with evidence for her role in the homicide. She was subsequently sentenced by Judge Vincent Culotta to 36 months in prison…
