TOLEDO, Ohio — A man previously reported by 11 Investigates for allegedly scamming older adults across multiple states has pleaded not guilty to new felony charges in Ohio.
According to court records, David Broadway entered not guilty pleas on April 9 in Defiance County Court of Common Pleas to:
- engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, a second-degree felony
- theft from a person in a protected class, a fourth-degree felony
A pretrial conference in the case is scheduled for April 27.
Broadway was transported to the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio after serving time in Indiana. Court records show he pleaded guilty to a felony fraud charge in Hendricks County, Indiana, on Dec. 4 and was sentenced to six months in jail…
