(KRON) — A crash in the area of the Caldecott Tunnel has blocked all eastbound lanes across two of the tunnel’s bores, according to the California Highway Patrol. Initially lanes in the tunnel’s Bore #2 and Bore #3 were completely blocked.
However, in a subsequent update, the CHP said Bore #3 had reopened. As of 3:27 p.m., both bores had fully reopened. The CHP said residual delays were expected.
The CHP’s incident log indicates the crash could be related to a vehicle fire in the tunnel.
