West Michigan’s Award-Winning Creamery Grows With New Shop

Spring has sprung and seasonal ice cream stands are opening up across West Michigan. Some spots, however, stay open all year. One such award-winning, year-round creamery is planning to expand again.

Moo-ville Creamery is getting ready to open a new ice cream shop soon!

The Westendorp family opened their first location on their dairy farm in Barry County in 2005. For them, having their own dairy farm means they actually plant the crops, feed the cows, produce the milk, and turn it into ice cream. They control every step from start to finish. Moo-ville also uses granulated sugar instead of corn syrup and about 20–25% more butterfat than the competition.

The creamery has earned national recognition, winning top honors for its chocolate and vanilla ice cream. Currently, locations are in Nashville, Ionia, Zeeland, and Eaton Rapids…
