KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – HonorAir Knoxville served veterans of East Tennessee for 19 years before taking their final flight in April 2026.
Eddie Mannis started the program in 2007 with the idea that East Tennessee’s veterans should be able to visit war memorials in Washington D.C. free of charge.
“It’s the 38th flight and the final flight, and we want to make sure that everything is just perfect, but we want the attention to still continue to be on our veterans. So even though it’s the last flight, it’s going to be business as usual for us.”…
