LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — Parents in Lancaster County are being urged to take a more active role in their children’s digital lives as officials warn that online threats tied to social media and artificial intelligence are already impacting local students.
During a cybersecurity panel held Thursday at Lampeter-Strasburg High School, community leaders and law enforcement outlined the growing risks young people face online, including data exploitation to sextortion, and emphasized that existing safeguards may not be enough.
