MERCED COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A car that was stolen over 21 years ago was recovered in the Merced River Wednesday, the sheriff’s office said.
On April 8, the Merced Sheriff Dive Rescue and Recovery Team went to the Merced River near Robin Avenue in Livingston to look for a submerged vehicle.
Due to the shoreline’s height and grade, divers were lowered into the water, where they located the vehicle and confirmed it was unoccupied.
