Manchester BZA Grants Special Exception for Triplex

At its meeting on Monday, April 6, the Manchester Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA) granted a special exception and a variance to a multifamily development on Stroud Dr.

Brittany Fiske, Community Development and Zoning Director, said that the property on Stroud Dr. is zoned R3. According to Fiske, the highest density development that can be built on R3 properties without a special exception is a duplex. The property owner came before the BZA to request a special exception to build triplex on the property.

The property has a total of 18,000 square feet of space for construction. Fiske said Manchester zoning laws require that 6,000 square feet be allocated per family on multifamily residential developments. The three units are the maximum that can be built on the property under these zoning requirements…
