FALCONS A MODEL OF SUCCESS IN MYRTLE BEACH

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC — The Austintown-Fitch Falcons softball team had their third undefeated trip at the Grand Strand Classic in the last four years following a 12-2 win over the Saluda Tigers (SC).

Fitch wasted little time striking early after Alyssa Rodgers reached on a walk and later scored in the top of the first as Kylie Folkwein forced an error out in center field to score the first run, next batter up, Morgan Roby line an RBI single into left making it 2-0 Fitch going to the bottom half of the first. Falcons starting pitcher, Mila Hamley worked around a leadoff single by Nyla Jordan by striking out a pair and holding Saluda scoreless.

Neither team would be able to produce any scoring the next two innings until Fitch found some more offense in the fourth with Annabel Mikesell ripping a triple up the ally in left-center and later scoring off a passed ball to make it 3-0 Falcons…
