WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — Two back-to-back swatting calls in Williamson County Wednesday afternoon stretched first responders to the limit while scaring plenty of people.
According to the FBI, there are roughly 1,000 swatting calls every year. That includes two just a few miles apart in Williamson County on Wednesday, April 8.

Around 1:30 p.m., members of the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office responded to Independence High School. Authorities said a caller indicated they were on the way to the school to carry out a shooting, sparking a shelter in place situation.
