HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — Every week, Meals on Wheels of Horry and Georgetown County provides meals to around 600 people, but after seeing the need still in their communities, leaders felt called to grow and evolve.
Since 2009, the Christian-based nonprofit has worked to provide meals to those in need. Currently, the organization prepares over 4,000 meals a week and delivers them to seniors and homebound individuals, whom they affectionately refer to as “grandparents.”
“As a board, we came together at the beginning of the year and really started praying and seeking,” said CEO Michael Snuggs. “What’s the future look like for Meals on Wheels? How do we accomplish the most important goal that we have?”…
