New $200M tower construction at HCA Florida Ocala Hospital announced

OCALA, Fla. (WCJB) – HCA Florida Healthcare announced a major $200 million expansion at its hospital in Ocala on Friday.

The company plans to construct a new multi-story patient tower at HCA Florida Ocala Hospital. The expansion will add more than 470,000 square feet to the hospital.

The tower will include 62 private care rooms and expand surgical services with new operating rooms. The company plans to employ 70 healthcare workers in addition to other positions once the expansion is complete.

“This investment will allow us to expand and enhance our surgical capabilities, which will allow our highly skilled teams to serve more patients,” said Lisa Tzanakis, chief operating officer, HCA Florida Ocala Hospital. “This project not only addresses today’s needs but positions us to serve future generations with expanded access, advanced technology and exceptional care.”…
