Winds strengthen this afternoon but will be just below advisory levels. Marine waters look calm for the time being, but hazardous seas arrive Saturday.

Highs rise into the 60s and upper 50s, this will be the coolest day of the forecast. The main band of showers and thunderstorms arrive by 8pm in San Luis Obispo County. Expect the lightning and thunder by 10pm in Santa Maria and c loser to midnight in Santa Barbara. Ventura will get the remaining rain by 2am or so.
