TOLEDO, Ohio — The man accused of fatally hitting bicyclist Timothy Haase in Point Place on New Year’s Eve has pleaded not guilty to charges against him.
Marcus Deamicis, 73, filed the plea at his arraignment in Lucas County Common Pleas court Thursday in response to charges of aggravated vehicular homicide, operating a vehicle under the influence and failure to stop after an accident he was arrested for on Tuesday. A judge also released him on supervised own recognizance and ordered him to have no contact with the victim’s family, no weapons, no drugs and no alcohol.
