WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Students in Wichita faced the reality of a deadly car crash on Thursday before it could happen to them.
Students at Campus High School partnered with Family, Career and Community Leaders of America to put on a mock crash. The school theater department had students dress up with fake blood and prom attire. Organizers brought in crashed cars, and local law enforcement went through standard procedure for a crash.
The students then acted out a funeral for their peer who “died” in the demonstration.
