Eugene Emergency Physicians asked the United States District Court for a preliminary injunction in its case disputing the legality of PeaceHealth’s choice to contract with ApolloMD to staff Lane County emergency departments.
PeaceHealth is replacing EEP with Lane Emergency Physicians, an LLC created by Georgia-based management services organization ApolloMD. Health care workers, community members, national organizations and Oregon lawmakers have railed against PeaceHealth’s decision not to renew the contract that EEP has held for 35 years.
