SPOKANE, Wash. – Spokane Riverkeeper is warning residents on how to prepare for water conservation this summer amid the statewide drought.
According to Spokane Riverkeeper, water use in the region more than double the national average.
“In 2015, the last extremely dry year, data showed how when residents stopped using so much water, the river flows began to rebound, even when flows at Post Falls remained unchanged,” the nonprofit wrote. “This data also shows how conservation can support river flows, with the potential to give a 20% flow boost.”…
