If things go as planned, Sherwood residents might be able to visit future food cart pods — complete with an accompanying pavilion and restrooms — along Tualatin-Sherwood Road.
The possibility comes after the majority of the Sherwood City Council agreed to amend city zoning and development codes, allowing the wildly popular eateries in zones now reserved for light industrial use.
On Tuesday, April 7, the council signed off on a first reading to amend regulations that would allow development of the pods along both sides of Tualatin-Sherwood Road spanning west to Southwest Baler Way and east to just east of Southwest Century Drive. Since the vote wasn’t unanimous — Councilor Keith Mays expressed his opposition — the ordinance must go through a second reading Tuesday, April 21.
