WAIANAE, Oahu (KHON2) — On Paakea Road in Waianae, residents continue feeling the effects of the Kona Lows, and as Oahu is hit with another storm, they are bracing for more to come.
“We just thank God we’re alive, but our washer, our dining table, our icebox, food, chairs, my kids’ shoes, our shoes, work shoes, even our car got flooded,” said Waianae resident Dorothy Faletusi.
“We filled sand in bags, and then also we had to get trucks to pump the septic tanks, and there were people who were volunteering to help us take out the water from the road,” said another resident, Donna White…
