Chris Brown and Usher are teaming up for a joint concert tour, exciting fans of both artists. Announced on Friday, the event is called the R&B Tour-a clever nod to their last names, Raymond (Usher’s full name is Usher Raymond IV) and Brown.

The announcement came with a dynamic Instagram video showing both singers riding motorcycles through their hometowns. As fans receive tour alerts on their phones, they dash through the streets in anticipation. The two performers eventually meet in a parking lot, remove their helmets, enter a venue, and step into an elevator together.

“It’s time,” Usher says, with Brown responding, “Hell, yeah.” The video concludes with the elevator doors opening to reveal the duo walking onstage amid enthusiastic applause.

While specific dates and cities for the tour have yet to be revealed, the collaboration is a continuation of their musical partnership. Brown and Usher have previously worked together on tracks such as “New Flame” and “Party.” Usher also featured on a remix of Brown’s “It Depends” and made a surprise appearance during Brown’s Breezy Bowl XX concert in Atlanta last October.

Brown spoke warmly about Usher at the time, calling him “my brother for life” and praising him as “the greatest.” He acknowledged the influence Usher had on his own career, alongside other legends like Michael Jackson.

The tour announcement coincides with the release of Brown’s new single, “Obvious.” Sharing his enthusiasm on Instagram, Brown wrote, “It’s OBVIOUS I’m tryna start the summer up!”

Fans can also look forward to Brown’s upcoming album, titled simply “Brown,” which is set to be released on May 8.
