HENDERSON COUNTY, NC — Henderson County leaders, along with neighboring counties and the North Carolina Forest Service, are exploring new technology to detect wildfires more quickly as the threat continues to grow across the mountains.
Emergency officials say a network of cameras could help spot fires sooner and get crews on scene faster.
