BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Samuel Smith, 29, was arrested by the Bakersfield Police Department on Tuesday, April 7, in connection with recent reports of theft and vandalism around the city.
Smith has been booked into the Lerdo Detention Facility on multiple charges, including grand theft of property, burglary, shoplifting and vandalism.

At about 1:39 a.m. on Monday, April 6, officers were dispatched to a theft in progress in the 800 block of 18th Street that was reported by private security personnel.
