Sonder Wine Bar + Retail Shop, a hybrid concept offering curated wines and small plates, is now open at 90 Cannon St. The space features bar seating, dedicated retail shelves, a lounge area and a private back patio.
“At Sonder, we aim to create a welcoming atmosphere where guests feel comfortable exploring wine,” said co-owner Michelle Kauczka. “We want to walk alongside people on their journey — discovering new bottles, revisiting favorites and experiencing wine without pretense. To us, that’s what ‘sonder’ represents: a journey of connection and shared experience.”
Sonder is the passion project of Kauczka and co-owner Jill Schenzel, two industry professionals with deep roots in Charleston’s food and beverage community.
