EVANSVILLE, Ind (WEHT) – Evansville Police currently have their hands full due to a standoff near the city’s near north side.
It is in the 600 block of Reis Avenue. Sgt. Anthony Aussieker says officers were sent to the home for a check welfare, and a person possibly barricaded inside.
Aussieker says officers and negotiators are on scene. Pepper balls have been used. However, he made it clear they are referring the person as a subject and not a suspect…
