Gainesville woman arrested for shooting at family member

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Dominque Dshala Liquae Jackson, 35, was arrested last night after allegedly shooting at a family member.

At about 11:59 p.m. on April 9, a witness reportedly told a Gainesville Police Department officer that Jackson and the victim had been arguing for 30 or 40 minutes at Hidden Village Apartments (2725 SW 27th Avenue), and when the witness stepped outside to see what was going on, he saw a lot of items in the yard outside their apartment. He said the argument was mostly inside the apartment, so he went back into his apartment, and when he went back outside to check on them, he saw the victim standing outside, at the end of the apartment building. He said he heard Jackson say, “You know what, imma pray for you,” and then she pointed the gun in the victim’s direction and fired one shot. The witness said the victim ran away after the gunshot; the witness wasn’t able to describe the gun, but he said he saw the muzzle flash and heard the gunshot…
