Organist Lynne Davis will bring her expertise in French organ music to Market Square Presbyterian Church at 4 p.m. Sunday, April 19.
Davis will perform works by Tournemire, DuMage, Franck, Demessieux, Alain and Duruflé on the church’s 2021 four-manual 83-rank J. Nedra Schilling Organ, Orgues Létourneau Opus 136. The concert takes place at the historic church at 20 S. Second St. in Harrisburg.
Davis spent nearly 30 years living in France and studied with Marie-Claire Alain, Jean Langlais and Maurice and Madeleine Duruflé. She currently serves as Robert L. Town Distinguished Professor of Organ at Wichita State University and tours regularly throughout the United States…
