Orlando Health St. Cloud Hospital, St. Cloud Fire Rescue Join Mass Casualty Exercise to Strengthen Emergency Response

ST. CLOUD, Fla. — A large-scale emergency preparedness effort unfolded across Central Florida Thursday morning as Orlando Health hospitals joined more than 100 facilities in what officials describe as the largest medical surge exercise in the nation, known as Operation Skyfall.

The full-scale mass casualty training, coordinated by the Central Florida Disaster Medical Coalition, took place from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and brought together hospitals, emergency responders, law enforcement, and healthcare facilities across multiple counties to test their ability to respond to a major incident.
