A woman was arrested on a drug charge after she was found sleeping in her car in the parking lot of a swimming pool in The Villages.
A deputy responded to the neighborhood pool in the Village of Belvedere regarding a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot at 7:15 a.m. Thursday, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. He announced himself and woke up 44-year-old Trisha Marie Sallee, who said she had pulled over to sleep.
Sallee then opened the door to speak with the deputy, during which a pair of glasses hit the floorboard of the car, the report said. The deputy looked down to see that a baggie with a green and brown substance had also fallen with the glasses. When asked what was in the baggie, Sallee stated it was “Katie.”
She was then put in handcuffs and detained for investigation. A subsequent test of the baggie came back positive for synthetic cannabinoids, the report said…
