A 20-year-old man was arrested Friday after throwing a Molotov cocktail at the home of OpenAI CEO Sam Altman in San Francisco’s Russian Hill neighborhood and threatening to burn down the company’s headquarters, according to authorities and the company.
Firefighters responded to a report of an fire at a home near Chestnut and Jones streets just before 4 a.m. and arrived after security guards at the property had extinguished the fire at the home’s exterior gate, police and fire officials said. The person who started the fire fled before firefighters arrrived, official said.
