TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – Talks will continue over whether to replace Toledo’s current garbage collection service after the mayor pulled an ordinance that would have awarded it to a different company.
In an email to the city council, the administration said it was pulling a measure that, if approved, would award the contract to Priority, replacing the current provider, Republic Services.
“This will allow us the opportunity to engage in further discussions with Council members and evaluate next steps moving forward,” Deputy Mayor Abby Arnold said in the email. “We all recognize the time-sensitive nature of this service and will work to return to Council for consideration in early May.”…
