Carbon dioxide leak reported at M.U.D. water treatment plant in Florence

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Emergency personnel responded to the M.U.D. water treatment plant in Florence on Friday afternoon.

According to a statement from the Metropolitan Utilities District, there was a carbon dioxide leak at about 12:45 p.m.

“The Omaha Fire Department was contacted in accordance with the district’s protocols. M.U.D. staff are working closely with first responders to ensure the safety of both employees and public,” the statement says…
