UFCW Local 7 announces tentative agreement with Greeley beef facility after weeks-long strike

GREELEY, Colo. (KKTV) – After several weeks of strikes, a tentative agreement has been reached with a Greeley beef facility, according to the United Food and Commercial Workers Local 7 union (UFCW).

On March 16, members of UFCW Local 7 began the strike. They accused the owners of Greeley’s Swift Beef Company, JBS N.V., of unfair labor practices, including suppressing wages.

According to the union, a vote took place in February, authorizing the strike to demand better wages, stabilize health care costs and ask the company to fix what UFCW called a pattern of wage theft…
