SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — A newly released video from the Department of Public Safety shows the moments a motorcyclist was arrested after a brief police pursuit, with the assist of a helicopter.
According to the Utah Department of Public Safety (DPS), around 8:45 p.m. on April 9, a Utah Highway patrol (UHP) trooper was traveling near 8000 S on northbound I-15 when he observed a motorcyclist traveling at a high rate of speed.
The motorcycle appeared to have several equipment violations and did not have a license plate. The UHP trooper attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the motorcyclist did not yield and continued down the freeway.
