RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – Sun Valley Boulevard is set to get a major facelift in the next couple of years, from the roadway surface to the drainage infrastructure. The idea is to make the corridor safer for everyone, no matter what kind of transportation they use. Covering nearly two miles from 7th Street to Scottsdale Road, this project targets one of the heaviest traveled transit corridors, where safety concerns have grown.
“This community has been lacking significant pedestrian infrastructure for a long time. So we’re excited to keep this project moving forward and bring these important improvements to this deserving community,” said RTC Engineering Manager, Amanda Callegari.
