Pierce County has announced that it is accepting proposals for affordable housing development and preservation projects through May 15. The funded projects will create new housing units and preserve existing ones over the next one to four years.
The $11 million in available funding will support the acquisition, construction, and rehabilitation of rental housing for households earning up to 60% of area median income, or AMI. This means a family of four earning up to $72,480, or a single person earning up to $50,760, may be eligible.
Proposals are due by May 15 at 2 p.m. Those interested in applying are encouraged to join an online preproposal meeting on April 15 at 11 a.m. Visit the project webpage to find out more…
