JAMES CITY COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) — Three James City County Police officers saved a blind miniature horse, named Fiona, that had strayed away from home, according to a Facebook post.
Officers Washam, McCullough, and A. Darden responded to an unusual call of a “small horse or donkey” wandering in the roadway on John Tyler Highway.
As soon as Fiona heard the officers’ voices, she perked right up and leaned in to get petted like she’d been waiting for her fan club to arrive.
With a makeshift lead and plenty of calm encouragement, Fiona let her new crew escort her safely back where she belonged…
