VERMILION PARISH, La. (KLFY) — Dannon Keith Sellers, 42, was arrested following a vehicle pursuit that began after deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle complaint on Klaby Meaux Road, south of Kaplan, La., on April 10, officials said. Sellers was found asleep in a blue 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 and deputies observed two firearms on the passenger floorboard.
Sellers faces several charges, including criminal trespassing, aggravated flight from an officer, illegal possession of a stolen firearm, two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, violation of a protective order, two counts of obstruction of justice, intentional littering and resisting an officer.
The incident escalated when Sellers refused to comply with commands, started his vehicle and fled, leading to a pursuit that concluded on LA Highway 35. One of the firearms recovered from a ditch during the pursuit was reported stolen to the Abbeville Police Department, officials said…
