BRISTOW, OKLA (KTUL) — Rural health care in Creek County took a step forward as Saint Francis Health System celebrated the grand opening and blessing of Bristow Hospital, marking the hospital’s official transition into the Saint Francis Health System.
Community members and officials gathered in Bristow for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to recognize the change, which leaders said will expand access to care for Oklahomans outside metro areas. Officials said the transition is significant for a community that has historically been underserved in health care and will bring modern medical services closer to home.
Saint Francis has been operating at the hospital for the past two months and have already seen double the traction for services.
