Saturday brings mountain snow, chance of valley showers and gusty winds

Active weather continues on Saturday with mountain snow and the possibility of valley rain showers.

The Greater Reno Area has about a 30% chance to see some scattered showers throughout the day, mainly after 2 PM. Temperatures Saturday will be closer to the average high of 63 degrees, before dropping below-average Sunday. Reno’s forecasted high is 60 degrees.

South Lake Tahoe has a much better shot at seeing some precipitation throughout the day. There is a 70% chance to see some rain and snow showers, however, no snow accumulation is expected. Some thunderstorms could also spark across the area. A Winter Storm Warning is in place, starting at 2 PM, lasting through Sunday. Expect a chilly high temp near 46 degrees.
