WAIKIKI, Hawaii (Island News) — A moped rider was hospitalized after getting thrown from his moped in a car accident in Waikiki on Friday night.
First responders reported that the accident took place in the area of Kalia Road and Saratoga Road, near Fort DeRussy Beach Park, at 8:05 p.m. on Friday, April 10, 2026. A 26-year-old man was struck by a car while he was riding a moped. The impact caused him to get thrown several feet leaving him wounded.
The moped rider was treated by Honolulu Emergency Medical Services for non-life threatening injuries. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision…
