Over $4 million going to help western N.C. parks rebuild post-Helene

More than $4 million in state grants will go to help local parks in western North Carolina that were damaged over a year and half ago during Hurricane Helene.

The money will go to 11 projects in the state’s mountain region, Gov. Josh Stein said Thursday in a news release.
