Cockeysville — Commander Reid Wiseman and the three astronauts on his Artemis II team have gone farther into space than anyone in history. Not by a smidge, mind you, but by several thousands of miles.
So, on Friday, only a couple miles from where Wiseman grew up, well over 100 friends and supporters from the astronaut’s hometown of Cockeysville watched with awe and relief as the four-person crew splashed down off the Californian coast.
“He was able to bring us all with him for that journey,” said Adam Crowley, one of Wiseman’s classmates at Dulaney High School. “Incredibly complex physics and science, the whole thing, and he brought that human element to it all. We all were right there with all four of them, together.”…
