Chattanooga Police Department officers visit Foundation Academy & Preschool for community engagement event

Chattanooga, TN – Chattanooga Police Department officers from the evening shift recently visited Foundation Academy & Preschool as part of a “front porch lineup” community engagement event aimed at strengthening relationships between law enforcement and local children.

According to the Chattanooga Police Department, officers spent time at the preschool interacting with students, answering questions, and discussing their roles in serving the community. The visit focused on familiarizing young children with police officers in a positive and approachable environment while giving officers an opportunity to engage directly with the students.

During the event, children at Foundation Academy & Preschool welcomed the officers with drawings, coffee, and donuts. Officers spent time speaking with the children about their daily responsibilities and explaining how police work helps maintain safety in the community.
