Noble County Considers Innkeeper’s Tax Increase To Boost Tourism Funding

NOBLE COUNTY — Officials in Noble County are weighing a proposal to raise the local innkeeper’s tax as tourism continues to play a growing role in the area’s economy.

The request was brought forward by Convention and Visitors Bureau CEO Grace Caswell, who is asking the Noble County Council to increase the tax from 5% to 8%, the maximum allowed under House Bill 1210. If approved, the new rate would take effect in January 2027.
