‘Seen people lose $80,000’: NC deputies warn about increase in scams

FORSYTH COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office deputies say it’s easier to fall for scams than people think, and a few have been on their radar recently.

Specifically, scammers are using the sheriff’s office phone number and real deputy names.
