Decatur Police arrest duo after gunfire hits homes, car

DECATUR, Ala. (WHNT) – Two people were charged after police say gunfire hit two homes and an unoccupied car Friday evening in Decatur.

According to the Decatur Police Department, officers were called to the 100 block of 5th Avenue around 5:30 p.m. after receiving reports of shots fired. Police said they discovered that two occupied homes and an unoccupied vehicle had been struck by gunfire.

Investigators identified the suspects as Charles Perry II and Tyler Denzel Gray. The two were later located during a traffic stop and taken into custody…
