VA launches new electronic health record system in Battle Creek

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has launched a new electronic health record system at its Battle Creek medical center, part of a broader effort to modernize how veterans’ health care is tracked and shared nationwide.

The rollout is part of a multi-site launch across Michigan, including VA facilities in Detroit, Ann Arbor, and Saginaw.

The system is designed to create a single, unified medical record that follows service members from active duty through their lives as veterans.
